Integrating TinyMCE into Blogo »

Some good news for Blogo users: I am finally going to include rich text editing in the web interface, using TinyMCE. Others have done such a thing before, yet my integration needs seem a bit more demanding. Below is a small impression of the current status:

What works so far:
- Row-based layout, where I configured only the buttons and controls that I want for Blogo
- Storing and editing the content, without an agent
- Custom addition where you can switch between HTML mode and Rich text mode
- Decoupled from Form elements. Adding the rich text editor is as simple as including a subform
- Most of the formatting works in the major browsers
What's left to do:
- Squash a number of annoying bugs where the formatting does not work consistently in all browsers. As always, IE spoils the party
- Add the ability to insert an image from the Blogo Resources section. I expect this to be a hard thing to do
- Test it in production on this blog
- Release it in Blogo 1.50 once mature

That's is the only thing your blog template didn't has ( or have? , grrr ... i've problems with this! ) yet ... until now!
Guau!
I'm going to do a lot of job this Christmas translating your template ... I'm thinking in a new feature to avoid the spam ... I'll send you the translated template with that feature in two or three weeks ...

Awesome! And never worry about your english, I'm not a native speaker either. By the way, did you know that Blogo already has an anti-spam mechanism? Maybe you're running an old version? «
