Blogo.NET: from faint idea to production application in 2 months 

On Februari 5, 2008, I cautiously introduced my idea to develop Blogo.NET, a ASP.NET version of Blogo. More than two weeks later, I presented you the first screenshot. About a month later, I announced that version 1.00 was done. 3 days later, the download (including manual) was made public.

Now, as a final step in the delivery of Blogo.NET, I am giving you the "Making of Blogo.NET" article, an extensive (43 pages) guide on how I developed Blogo.NET, discussing architecture, database development, LINQ, page design, security and much more. This guide can be seen as many articles merged into one. You can find the article here. I hope you enjoy it, as it cost me a lot of effort writing it ;)

What happens next?

Concerning Blogo.NET, the application can be used as a production blog. I do not, however, plan on regularly adding features to it. Bug fixes only. I do intend to reuse Blogo.NET as a reference application for some experiments, for example to try out Windows Commmunication Foundation, RIA (Adobe Flex, Silverlight), things like that. You can use it that way too :)

Soon I'll start on a new project, and as always I will share everything with you. I hope you enjoy Blogo.NET or the article in the meanwhile.
