After a terrible hosting experience at my PHP/MySQL host Servage, I decided to leave them and look for a new host. I now have found a good one, and the move of my PHP sites have been completed. This means that s3maphor3.org, my portfolio site, is now back online again, hack-free and faster than ever.

Although I announced earlier that I would rebuild my portfolio site using a CMS, I have changed my mind. By using the same site, I know all links continue to work, and I just cannot find the time to rebuild the site. I do have the ambition to redesign my blog and portfolio site one day, but for now the day job, freelance work, project Jungle Dragon and my personal life are plenty enough.

The relaunch of s3maphor3.org comes with some changes:

• The hacks are gone, and the site should load much faster
• I added a Photos section
• All downloads now have download counters
• I removed the forum, it was hardly used and only attracted spammers
• I removed the support center (Mantis ticker system), since it was hardly used. All support now goes via the support email address, the old address (support@s3maphor3.org) is no longer used
